About Jules!
A little about the little one… (I’m a bit on the short side…)
I’m Julia– welcome to my Triathlon blog! I’m a mid-20’s amateur triathlete, previously of the college-swimming breed. I’m by no means an expert, but I wanted to have a place to write about training, racing and the “fun” inner-workings of a crazy triathlete balancing work, grad school and life’s fun. I plan to write about races, training and the gear that keeps me going 🙂 I live, work and train in in the greater Boston area and work as a Sustainability leader for a University. In my down time, I’m a graduate student in the field as well! When I’m not doing those things- I’m either eating, sleeping or training. It’s a busy life, but I am loving it. In my first real season of Triathlon (this past summer 2011), I managed to qualify for Nationals, win a few age group titles in local triathlons and one overall title as well. I competed at Age Group Nationals in August 2010 and qualified for Team USA 2012, which means that I will be competing at World Championships next year. It’s going to be a long year but I plan to work hard, trust my coach and perhaps even invest in some new gear to help me perform my best in Auckland, New Zealand next year.
In November 2011, I was named to the Rev3 2012 Amateur Team! This is a huge honor and opportunity to race with some amazing people and a fantastic racing organization!
